To empower and elevate women in STEM at Jones IT by fostering a supportive community, promoting career development, and cultivating lifelong mentorship among Athena members. We aim to create a diverse workplace that attracts, retains, and advances women in technology while engaging with our alumni and the broader technology community.
Meet the Women of Athena
Athena brings together women from across Jones IT who work in consulting, engineering, account management, operations, leadership, compliance, and other areas of technology. Our members support one another through shared experiences, mentorship, professional development, and meaningful connections that continue throughout their careers.
Each member brings her own experience, interests, and perspective to Athena. Together, we are building a community where women can grow, lead, and make a lasting impact at Jones IT and throughout the broader technology community.

Athena in Action
Athena is more than a professional network—it is a community that makes time to connect, create, learn, and celebrate together. Throughout the year, our members participate in internal events, quarterly outings, dinners, creative sessions, hackathons, and professional-development experiences.
These gatherings give our members opportunities to strengthen relationships outside of their day-to-day work, learn from one another, and build connections that extend across teams and locations.
In 2025, Athena members hosted an internal hackathon open to all Jones IT employees, centered on teamwork, creativity, and innovation. Participants collaborated in groups, developed their ideas, and presented their work to fellow Jones IT team members.
The event gave employees across the company a chance to work with colleagues outside their usual teams, explore new ideas, and celebrate the creativity and technical talent within Jones IT.
2025 Athena Hackathon
Growing Our Community Beyond the Workplace
Athena members connect on a quarterly basis through dinners, outings, creative workshops, and other shared experiences. These events give us time to step away from our normal routines, learn more about one another, and strengthen the relationships that make Athena a supportive community.
Our gatherings have included group dinners, Athena art sessions, collaborative activities, and special internal events. Whether we are creating something together or simply sharing a meal, each experience helps us build lifelong connections within Jones IT.
Coming in Winter 2026: Athena Internal Conference
Athena is planning an internal conference for Winter 2026 focused on learning, professional development, mentorship, and connection. The experience will bring members together to explore ideas, participate in meaningful conversations, and continue developing the skills and relationships that support women throughout their careers in technology.
